Next location – protests!

The opening weekend where I announce the project started with friends and people I have already been in contact with, but with some new people as well. It was seemingly received well, but this will take time. The Rebel Warrior Movement involves understanding a full strategy in order to get involved, not just ‘agreeing’ with something. How does initial enthusiasm translate to getting involved?

First, a piece of good news. Many people want to change the world by creating something better. People are starting projects intended to help people, such as in the food industry, health and law. Many of them don’t know each other though. Even if a project has a website and social media presence, it won’t necessarily enter the consciousness of other projects and groups who are compatible.

Researching the activism scene

Another thing that is going on in London is a whole load of protests, and reports of some heavy handed policing of them. The most disturbing thing is what most of these protests are about. I have been following on mainstream news sources some of the goings on in the Gaza Strip, and it appears on the surface to be horrendous. By taking mainstream media at face value, it clearly appears to me that atrocities are taking place. Verifying exactly what is going on without bias, however, is more complicated than watching TV. Unfortunately, I haven’t had any contradictory evidence that there are atrocities taking place.

The Rebel Warrior Movement is obviously against control without consent, so the activism scene is important. First of all, is the United Kingdom supporting literal atrocities in Gaza? Secondly, is the British government still supporting these after being frequently and loudly made aware of them? Third, in a democracy, there needs to be a way to change government policies. What means do people have of doing that, or do they have none? Fourth, is there an issue of abusive policing towards people who are demanding that atrocities stop?

If these four points above are true, the implication shatters the illusion of the United Kingdom being a government by meaningful consent.

My next step is to network with protestors. For the next week or so, I will conduct research at protests, such as protests for Palestine and protests about heavy handed law enforcement.

The Rebel Warrior Movement makes no claims until I have proven them. So in the meantime, the movement is not claiming that the United Kingdom is a regime enacted without meaningful consent or is supporting atrocities in any meaningful way. When I do prove or disprove the claim, I aim to make the evidence so obvious that it can be used in a court.
